Mimi McHugh of California said her brother, Peter McHugh, lost little time getting her to work less than an hour after she touched down here for a visit. Mimi was wearing a fancy lei made of lauae fern and mini anthuriums which she said was gorgeous on Christmas.
Elvrine Chow of Heavenly Haku was going crazy Christmas Eve, and figures people will be getting more on New Year’s Eve (the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula is open regular hours: 3:30 to 6 p.m.).
Melissa McFerrin-Warrack was taking time off from the Kauai Community Market (check out Liz Hahn’s new yellow betta who was jarred Friday) to entertain out-of-town guests, and Sandi Kato-Klutke is busy getting ready for New Year’s.
Hope Okuna and Heather Butler of Virginia finally found the Camper (after three or four years of looking) who was chatting with a Kauai Bus passenger whose toilet paper roll was getting “dangerously low.”
Happy New Year, Kauai! Stay safe!
