Ernie Pasion is a model, not a scapegoat
After reading Tom LaVenture’s article and Glenn Mickens’ letter in TGI, I, too, want to thank them for keeping the lawsuit of auditor, Ernie Pasion, before the people.
It is truly deplorable to see our auditor do his job with honor and distinction by uncovering faulty activity in the usage of county gasoline, only to be forced to sue the county and a former councilmember to keep his job.
Hopefully, those in our government responsible for this sordid mess of vengeance against Mr. Pasion for doing the job he was hired to do will be held accountable.
I have read the eight audits that Mr. Pasion has done in his five years in office and can honestly say that they have been superbly done and, if abided, will save us, taxpayers, a lot of money. We need more people with integrity in our government, like Mr. Pasion, to represent us.
