Alfred Pacheco said he knows a lot of the Smith’s Motorboating crew (Melody Pascual was first to greet them) from the days he worked near Coco Palms and the Rehabilitation Unlimited Kauai.
Alfred was enjoying the caroling by the Smith’s crew (how can you not have “Alika” when Micah Viluan is part of the team?). Manu Contrades (that is old style piano playing!) came straight from work, and Kimo Kaholokula did a great job rendering the Christmas carols which were spiced with hula numbers.
Wow! Smith’s on Thursday and the Kilauea Social Club (they were playing when the lights went on in Kilauea, too) on Friday? Josie Pablo has been lining up the talent. Juvi Bercasio was up late Thursday getting the residents in and out for the Smith’s performance while getting the hall ready for the Friday Christmas party.
OK, time to go check out Tom Shigemoto, Gerald Ako and the Kauai AJA baseball teams at Vidinha Stadium.
