John S.F. Rosa, 75, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at home. Born July 2, 1939, in Lihue Kauai, HI. He was a JROTC Instructor for USD #475.
Preceded in death by his parents; John Fernandez and Georgiana (Silva) Rosa.
He is survived by wife, Judy of Junction City, KS; son, John (Lisa) David Rosa of Olathe, KS; daughter, Julie (Bruce) Taylor of Junction City, KS; 5 grandchildren; sisters: Eleanor, Lucy and Paulette and brother Harold. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Kerry Ninemire officiating. A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with a Vigil Service being conducted at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Knights of Columbus c/o St. Xavier Catholic Church.
