Kaira Kaaihue had only two consideration swims under her belt entering the KIF swimming championships. But the Kauai High freshman crashed through all that, finishing the day with two state auto qualifying swims and a pair of considerations through four events.
That was just one of many (!!!) great swims at the KIF championships — congratulations to all who earned state qualifying and consideration swims!
Greg Gonsalves, the Kapaa athletic director, said today’s soccer games between Island School and the Kauai High School boys will start at 5 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium. Kapaa boys will be kicking off at Hanapepe Stadium against Waimea with the junior varsity match starting at 5 p.m. and the varsity match kicking off around 6:45 p.m.
Coach Mac Pigott said Thursday is the final mixed team dual format wrestling match at Island School starting at 6:30 p.m. Working with referees Dennis Pesch and Ioni Kamakaala of Honolulu, that was definitely exciting.
