KALAHEO — Weather conditions forced cancellation of two of the county’s Division I Boys basketball games Monday night at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
The Supersonics were able to get their game in the books before officials canceled the remainder of the schedule, citing safety reasons.
The Supersonics claimed a 45-18 victory over Team Lihue C.
Fueled by a pair of bombs from outside the three-point arc by Mason Broyles, the Supersonics chipped out an 8-5 lead in the opening frame over Team Lihue who got its marks from Michael Question.
Broyles went on to top the Supersonics’ scoring, netting 13 points, including three treys. Bryce Fernandez finished with eight points, Aiden Ringor and Hunter Furtado-Oligo each netted six points.
Jeremiah Harper added four second-half points and pairs from Kealiimalu Kaawa, Derick Soriano and Angelito Constantino-Angala Jr. rounded out the Kaumakani-based scoring.
Questin finished the night leading the Team Lihue C scoring on 13 points including a trey in the sixth frame.
Games continue at 6 p.m. Thursday with three games on tap at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
