ANAHOLA – The Department of Water has scheduled a water shutdown for customers in the Anahola area on Aliomanu Road, Kukuna Road, Kikoo Loop and Puu Hale Loop on Wednesday. Water will be turned off from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, to allow the DOW’s contractor to connect a new fire hydrant to the area’s water system.
After the connection is completed and the water main is turned back on, air may be mixed into the water causing it to appear white or milky in color. This is normal and the air in the water will eventually dissipate.
The DOW has notified affected customers Monday.
