Correct contact information
First of all, I’d like to thank The Garden Island for publishing my letter to the editor concerning the factory dairy farm at Mahaulepu. I must also apologize to the Friends of Mahaulepu for not realizing that they are a separate group from Malama Mahaulepu.
This caused me to make a mistake in my letter. The contact information is incorrect and I intend to correct that here. This is the correct information for the Friends of Malama Mahaulepu: http://friendsofmahaulepu.org/ You can donate online through GoFundMe or send a check to Friends of Mahaulepu, PO Box 1654, Koloa, HI, 96756
Donations will be matched up to $100,000. The online donation button at the Friends’ home page will take you to GoFundMe. Again, I apologize for the rather glaring error and appreciate Judy’s call correcting me (in the very kindest words possible). I enjoyed talking to you, Judy!

Golf course staff wonderful
Would just like to say how well we golfers were treated at Wailua Golf Course and how good it was to see how well the new restaurant with its beautiful meals and service was doing.
The staff at the course can’t do enough for you. Jack, Joy and the golf car boys Junior and John and all who work there keep the course running all day long. It really does make our vacation on Kauai so enjoyable.
Also, all the different people we meet from all over the world and we can’t forget all the lovely locals who enjoy their golf so much.

I was deeply troubled by Loretta Lynch’s assertion to the Senate Judiciary Committee Jan. 28 that current National Security Agency intelligence-gathering programs are “constitutional and effective.”

I am further troubled by her role as U.S. Attorney in not filing criminal charges against any HSBC executives in 2012 for money-laundering for the drug cartels, arms dealers, Iran and other so-called “enemies of the state.”

I do not believe she didn’t have access to the files. “The French government obtained and shared with other governments in 2010, leading to prosecutions or settlements with individuals for tax evasion in several countries. Nations whose tax authorities received the French files include the U.S., Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Britain, Ireland, India, Belgium and Argentina.”

We the people need an attorney general who is interested in “justice for all,” and who respects the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
This past weekend, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell revealed his plan to shelve Lynch’s confirmation unless Democrats agree to legislation rolling back reproductive rights for women.
I’ll take reproductive rights for women, please.
