Fallon Lopez
Fallon Lopez of Kapaa passed away at home on March 8, 2015, at the age of 32. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on June 9, 1982, and was a Security Dispatcher for Securitas at Lihue Airport.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Patrick Lopez Sr. and John I. Makanani and also by her grandmother Agnes Leimomi Makanani.
She is survived by her grandmother, Rosalina “Sweetie” Lopez; mother, Petra Lopez Makanani; father, Clinton I. Makanani Sr.; sister Lea (Rob) Makanani-Boyce; brothers Clinton “Ioane” (Shiannte) Makanani Jr and Stephen “Kaliko” (Patty) Makanani; 6 nieces Mercedes “Noe” Makanani, Leilyn Makanani, Brianna “Boo Boo” Boyce, Seijia “Kilinahe” Makanani, Kiana “Aiko” Makanani and Faith Makanani; 3 nephews Robert “Paka” Boyce, Michael “Kamalu” Makanani and Jacob “Keone” Makanani; numerous uncles, aunties, cousins and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. Burial to be announced.

Inocencia Acoba
Inocencia Aggacid Acoba of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away surrounded by her family and friends on March 10, 2015, at the age of 83. Born to Cipriano and Escolastica Aggacid on July 4, 1931, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Acoba; brother, Pedro Aggacid; sisters, Maria Aggacid, Esperanza Aceret and, Elena Aggacid.
She is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Carlos) Medina of Eleele; sons, Cesar (Estra) Acoba of Ele’ele, and Abraham (Rosalee) Acoba of Kekaha and Idaho; and five grandchildren, Heather Medina of Ele’ele, Charles Medina of California; Stephanie Maile Acoba of Ele’ele, and Alyssa and Wendy Perry, both of Idaho; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kekaha, with viewing from 8 a.m., and services at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Kekaha Public Cemetery. Family suggests casual attire.

Michael Kocher Jr.
Michael Sheehan Kocher Jr., was born just before sunrise on May 4, 1995, at Wilcox Hospital in Lihue, Hawaii. He left this life January 3, 2015.
He left behind parents Michael and Patricia (King) Kocher of Hanapepe; grandparents Helen Marie and Al Kocher of California; brothers Logan Ikaika King Ka’aihue of South Dakota; sisters Irene Marie Kocher of Texas, Malia Ka’aihue, Pua Ka’aihue, Keanu Ka’aihue, and Virginia Ka’aihue of Hawaii; Aunties and Uncles Jed and Crystal Kocher of Kalaheo, Debbie and Barry Smith of Nevada, Frank and Linda Labowski of Arkansas, Doris King, Joyce and Frank Botta, Karen King, Sam King, Don Ham – all of Texas, and Rodney and Hope King of Tennessee; Hanai Aunties and Uncles include Joy and Chuck Ferguson, Jo Hopper, Pam Kapana, Kaimi Keamoai Strickland, Liz and Jon VonCruzenstern, Dr. Jim and Sophie Johnson.
Family gone ahead include: maternal grandparents Mitchell King, Irene Mashburn King Ham, and Papa Bruce Ham; auntie Melissa Kocher O’Connor; hanai uncles and aunties Linda Dodge Kohler, Garry (MakaPo) Ka’aihue, Elvis Kanahele, and Max Hopper.
Michael attended KEO preschool in Kalaheo, Eleele Elementary School, St. Teresa School, Hiwassee Dam School in NC, Waimea High School and Kauai Community College. He worked at Bubbles Below Diving Charters. He was an experienced mason and carpenter.
Michael loved the ocean and everything outdoors, especially if it involved his friends. He was an avid swimmer, soul surfer, fisherman, diver, and hunter. He would go diving and come home with a pig. He loved sports – swimming, football, basketball, cross-country running and golf. He loved traipsing around the Nantahala and Cherokee National Forests of southern Appalachia with his friends that meant so much to him.
His best friends include Patrick Keamoai Strickland, Chase Uyeno, Ikaika Ruiz, Kaimi Lei Keamoai Strickland and Micah Liana of Hawaii; and Enoch Christopher, Gabe Starks, and Sam Starks of North Carolina.
Michael had an incredible, contagious zeal for life that made him so great to be around. He loved and respected his friends. He loved babies and children and his dog Na Malu.
A celebration of Life luau is being planned for March 28, 2015, at Salt Pond. The community is invited to join in honoring his life.

Potenciano Agustin
Potenciano “Pat” Agustin passed away on March 5, 2015, at the age of 84. Born on October 23, 1930, he worked Security for Securitas at the Lihue Airport. He retired from Grove Farm Sugar Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Jadulang Augustin; his parents, Timoteo Domingo Agustin and Euphracia Lopes Agustin; his brothers, Acasio Agustin, Juan Agustin, Bernard Agustin, Paustino Agustin and Deme Agustin.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Candice (Steve) Cummings of Kapaa, Kauai, Patricia Melendez of Puhi, Kauai, Lara Sadorra of Puhi, Kauai, Lori (Richard) Pascua of Waianae, Oahu, Danielle (Aaron) Olds of Richardson, TX; one son Duwain Saddora of Kaneohe, Oahu, 14 grandchildren , one sister Rose (Matias) Arizo of Puhi, Kauai and numerous nieces and nephews.
A “Celebration of his Life” will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Lihue Baptist Church 3223 Elua St. Lihue, Kauai. Visitation at 9 a.m. followed by services at 10:30 a.m.

Melvin Tadao Iwamoto Jr.
Melvin Tadao Iwamoto Jr., of Hanamaulu, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the age of 53 in Honolulu. He was born on January 11, 1962, in Lihue, Hawaii, he was employed with Waialae Golf Course and the Hawaiian Electric, Inc. and attended the Kamehameha Schools, class of 1980.
Melvin was predeceased by his father, Melvin T. Iwamoto, grandparents Tadashi and Pearl Iwamoto of Hanama’ulu and Kaluna and Daisy Ka’auwai of Waipouli, Kauai.
Melvin was survived by his wife, Lea Kamakawiwo’ole Iwamoto of Honolulu; son Melvin T. Iwamoto, III, and daughter, Melia Kamakawiwo’ole Iwamoto of Honolulu. Also survived by his mother, Linda Kaauwai-Iwamoto of Hanamaulu, sister Darrah (Hiwa) Makanui of Anahola, and brother Kyle T.K. Iwamoto of Honolulu; nieces Tihane (Luke) DeKneef of Honolulu and Chanita (Calsen) Makanui of Anahola; nephews Beau Lopez of Anahola and Rustin Iwamoto Hee of Honolulu. Grandniece Kahoku Morrow Lopez, Chase La’akea Chang Lopez of Kapaa and Kapilioha Makanui Hasegawa of Anahola and many cousins.
Visitation at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Kapaa First Hawaiian Church; service starting at 10 a.m. and Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Maunalua Bay, Hawaii Kai, Oahu, service starting at 3:30 p.m., scattering of ashes to follow.
Elena Domingo
Elena Ringor Domingo of Kealia, Kauai, passed away on March 12, 2015, at the age of 57. She was born on September 3, 1957, in Lihue, Kauai, she was a housekeeper for Kauai Beachboy Hotel.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Domingo and Susana Ringor.
Elena was survived by her husband, Polly Domingo, Kealia, Kauai; son, Ciso Domingo, Lihue, Kauai; daughter, Eve Domingo, Lihue, Kauai, 3 grandchildren; her sister, Emily (Jerry) Ramos, Hanamaulu, Kauai; brother, Eddie (Sarah) Ringor, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation at 8:30 a.m. with mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Jeremy Keli’i Ledward “da HAWAIIAN,” of Kauai, died on February 3, 2015, at the age of 43 at Straub Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1972, on Kapiolani Hospital in Honolulu, Oahu.
He is survived by his daughter, Kiananapua ‘okai ‘ulani Ledward, sons, Jeremy Keli’i Ledward Jr. and Kyle Ledward. Na ‘ohana ‘o Makuahine, Mark “Papa Sau” Sausen, and Auntie Louise Sausen, brother Chad Listman, sisters Lehua Listman and Leah Sausen, Na ‘ohana on Makuakane.
Preceded in death by Makuakane Leonard “Bobo” Tilton, “Mama Ipo” Colleen K. Tilton, brothers Shane K. Tilton and Saffery K. Tilton, sisters Shantel K. Tilton and Stacy K. Tilton, 6 nieces and 9 nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Waimanalo, Oahu at Alaihi St. “beach access” and Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Hanalei, Kauai at Pinetrees. For both Celebrations, visitation begins at 11 a.m. with services to begin at noon. Scattering of ashes and paddle out and potluck paina to follow.
Isabel Nester
Isabel Ruhe Nester of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, formerly of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 14, 2015, at the age of 100 at Regency at Puakea. She was a retired accountant.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Ruhe, and her husband, Willard Nester Sr. She was survived by her daughter, Diane Nester Rafuse, Virginia, son, David (Linda Rozelle) Nester Jr. Kauai, 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren, Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The Celebration of Life will be held privately.

Casimiro Rumbaoa
Casimiro Aguinaldo Rumbaoa of Kilauea, Kauai, passed away on March 14, 2015, at the age of 67 at Samuel Mahelona Hospital. He was born on January 7, 1948, in the Philippines.
Survived by his wife Rosnelie Butac Rumbaoa, 2 sons, Romel (Lyn) Rumbaoa and Ronald Rumbaoa, 1 daughter, Shiena Rumbaoa, 1 grandson; 4 brothers, Primitivo (lolong) Rumbaoa, Orlina Rumbaoa, Alfredo Rumbaoa, Melchor (Jane) Rumbaoa; 3 Sisters Esmenia Benevides, Lucrecia Gamayon, Maria Galiza, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday March 28, 2015, at St. Sylvesters Church in Kilauea from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery in Kealia.

Indalecia Redolfi
Indalecia Medrano Redolfi of Eleele passed away on March 10, 2015, at the age of 90 at Hale Kupuna. Born on March 26, 1924, in the Philippines, she was a retired homemaker.
Survied by her daughter, Jesusa “Susan” (Juan) Magallanes; one brother, Pedro Medrano and 2 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., where mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe public cemetery.

Kent Frank
Kent Edward Frank of Kapaa passed away on March 18, 2015, at the age of 55. He was born on October 14, 1959, in Burbank, California and was a cashier at Costco.
Kent is survived by his parents, Margaret and Arnold Frank of California; his spouse, Joseph Adorno of Kapaa; brother, Joseph of California; sisters, Mary Horning , Kathleen Frank, and Maureen Frank, all of California, and Patricia Frank of Nevada.
A celebration of Kent’s life will be held at a later date.

Christina Leiuiakealoha Hart
Christina “Leiui” Leiuiakealoha Hart of Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on March 6, 2015, at the age of 38. Born on December 2, 1976, in Waimea, Kauai. She was a certified nurses assistant.
Preceded in death by her mother, Maryland Kamai. Christina is survived by her husband, Rassoul Hart; sons, Khalil Niau Hart, Harlem Niau Hart and daughter, Rmani Hart.
Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Salt Pond Beach Park, Hanapepe. Service at 12 p.m., burial to follow at Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.

Taichi Harada
Mr. Taichi Harada, 85, Honalo, Hawaii, died on March 1, 2015, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honalo, Hawaii on April 29, 1929, he was a coffee farmer. He was a member of Daifukuji Soto Mission, Honalo 2 Kumiai, a former Boy Scout troop leader – Troop 14, and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his son, Darren Harada of Honalo; daughter, Liane (Kelly) Robinson of Waimea, Kauai; 2 grandchildren and numerous cousins.
Friends may call at 3 p.m. March 28, 2015, at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo for a 4 p.m. memorial service. The family requests casual attire and flowers be omitted. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Max Bancroft
Max Lawrence Bancroft of Lihue passed away on March 5, 2015, at the age of 57. He was born on September 4, 1957, in Malibu, California and was a realtor on Kauai.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Oyeda and his parents, Grace and Tom Bancroft.
Max is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Collin Gibbons; daughter, Misty Dawn Bancroft; three grandchildren.
A celebration of Max’s life will be held in May and will be announced by the family.
