KAPAA — Dr. Susan Littler, a board certified general obstetrician and gynecologist, is accepting new patients after starting her new job Friday at the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, and the West Kauai Clinics — Waimea.
KAPAA — Dr. Susan Littler, a board certified general obstetrician and gynecologist, is accepting new patients after starting her new job Friday at the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, and the West Kauai Clinics — Waimea.
Littler will be able to service KVMH and the West Kauai Clinics — Waimea, but will be based primarily at the Specialty Clinic at Mahelona Hospital.
Previously living and practicing on Kauai, Littler returns to the island with her tenure at the HHSC.
“She’s coming close to home,” said Josie Pablo, the Mahelona Hospital recreation director. “Her mom, Jean Littler, is a resident at the hospital.”
Littler is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where she obtained her bachelor’s, Ph.D., and medical degree. She completed an internship in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York Buffalo Consortium.
Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Littler is also appointed as a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Her clinical interests include the treatment of menopause and ovarian cysts, working with pregnant patients and managing diabetes during pregnancy.
