Rose Ramos-Benzel was like a “Wheel of Fortune” winner when she was announced as the recipient of a Costco gift card Thursday during the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Business Before Hours at Costco.
Candace Demerin of the Lawai Cannery Storage and Warehouse (they got their garage sale benefiting the Kauai Robotics starting at 9 a.m. today!) was the recipient of the second card.
Kudos to Randy Francisco (he said that was his final Chamber event) and Fidel Cardoso, the Costco general manager who has been there since the store opened, on a great event!
Fidel said this was the fourth Biz B4 Hours they’ve hosted and business has been really good. He thanked Ann and Ruth Hashisaka of the Kauai Kookie Co. for buying items they use in their business, with Costco, in turn, buying items made by Kauai Kookie.
Sharon Lasker said Monday is Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day and people are invited to stop by the Regency at Puakea for a free slice with a beverage from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the event.
