Kauai’s Jamie Amimoto (38-39) and Kapaa’s Bryden Salvador (40-37) tied for low score honors at 77 in the boys golf match Saturday at the Poipu Bay Golf Course.
Amimoto and Salvador also led their respective team scoring efforts.
Trevor Kua carded a 78 (38-40) for third place overall and followed Amimoto in the team scoring to lead Kauai High School to its fifth consecutive title at 319 strokes.
Kapaa followed at 338 while Island School and Waimea did not field sufficient players for team scoring.
Following Amimoto and Kua, Anthony Apalla (38-43-81) contributed to the team with Deven Kimono (42-41-83) and Keith Jose (43-40-83) ending the day tied.
Other Red Raiders on the course included Austen Fernandez (48-48-96), Clayton McCune (51-56-107), Ian Castro (44-54-98), Jeremy Felizardo (45-43-88), Jordan Serrano (44-39-83) and Riley Gokan (49-43-92).
Following Salvador on the Kapaa team scoring, Kainalu Gandia finished with an 85 (44-41), Landen Ishida followed a stroke back at 86 (43-43), Sequoia Logan added a 90 (46-44) and Tyshawn Cain rounded out the leaderboard at 91 (44-47).
Other Warriors on the course included Dylan DeSilva (47-48-95), Lexton Camat (48-45-93), and Micah Barretto (49-56-105).
Waimea fielded two players including Hunter Ragasa (71-61-132) and James Caudill (64-71-135).
Island School also fielded just two players led by Jacob Designer (42-43-85) and followed by Adam Sclafani (56-55-111).
On the girls’ course, Naea Oda captured low individualist honors at 82 (43-39).
Kauai’s Hiilani Alana followed at 87 (42-45), being joined by Janae Park (48-43) and Dillyn Sakai (46-45) tying at 91 to lead the Kauai girls to 269 strokes and the team title for Match No. 5. Kiri Oshiro rounded out the leaderboard at 95 (45-50).
Following Oda, Kapaa got a 111 from Chloe Shutt (55-56) and Paige Wesoloski fired a 169 (69-100) for a 362 team total.
Waimea High School fielded just two girls, Bailee Taeza (52-51-103) and Daneica Muraoka (61-70-131).
Salisa Pegeder (51-53-104) was the sole Island School female on the course.
The Kauai Interscholastic Federation next takes the course on April 18 at the Puakea Golf Course with the first groupings starting at noon. It will be the final regular season match before the state qualifying rounds.
