Marcelina Bunao
Marcelina N. Bunao of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii Passed away on March 23, 2015 At the age of 96.
She was born on April 20, 1918, In Santa Ignacia, Tarlac Philippines. She was a homemaker.
Marcelina was preceded in death by her husband, Tiburcio Bunao; sons, Domingo, Sergio and Rodolfo Bunao.
Marcelina is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Teodorico) Gacusan, Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday April 19, 2015 at Kauai Veteran’s Center, Lihue. Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM. A service to celebrate Marcelina’s life will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth Haluapo
Elizabeth “Makalapua” Haluapo of Omao passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. She was born on December 22, 1934, in Ahukini, Kauai.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; Elizabeth Haluapo and Charles Aniani Haluapo; sisters Mary Gerardo, Hattie Telles, brothers; Ioane Haluapo, Kawano Haluapo, David Haluapo Charles Haluapo, Samuel Haluapo and Albert Keoho.
She is survived by her and sister; Kathy (Matthew) Louis of Oma’o, Kauai;brothers; Edward Keoho Sr. of Kapa’a, Clifford (Dannette) Lee of Wailua, Kauai, Francis Lam of Nanakuli, Oahu and David (Bruna) Lam of Waianae. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Lihue First Church. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, followed by services at 11:00 am. Casual attire is suggested.

Darryl Arruda
Darryl Henry Arruda of Hilo, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital at the age of 66. He was born in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii on December 29, 1948. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic and a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army.
Preceded in death by son, Darin Arruda; father, Henry Arruda and nephew, Kyle Arruda.
He is survived by his son, Dustin (Malia) Arruda of Hilo, Hawaii; daughters, Kristy Arruda of Kauai, Angela (Billy) Farias of Kauai; 8 grandchildren, Shelcee Camat of Kauai, Gordon “Koni” Camat of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jhaiston Lumacad of Kauai, Brayden Farias of Kauai, Breena Farias of Kauai, Brevin Farias of Kauai, Damian Arruda and Anthony Arruda of Hilo, Hawaii; 3 great-grandchildren, Kanoa Farias of Kauai, Javen Camat of Honolulu, Lilly Fabro of Kauai; mother, Alice Arruda of Kauai, Hawaii; brother, Kelly (Linda) Arruda of California; sister, Nadine (Darrell) Horner of Kauai, Hawaii; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; Celebration of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at East Hawaii Veterans #2 at 11:30 AM.
Family requests casual attire, flowers are welcome.
A memorial service will also be held on Kauai on Friday, April 24, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia, Kauai with visitation from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Daniel Newbold
Daniel G. Newbold of Kapaa passed away on March 31, 2015 at the age of 53. He was born in Toronto, Canada on August 9, 1961 and was a painter on the island of Kauai.
Preceding him in death were his parents: John and Enid (Ford) Newbold.
Daniel is survived by his siblings: Sean (Chris) of Lihue; Antoinette Seiler of Santa Cruz, CA, Katherine Gabrielle Newbold of California, Ford Newbold of Australia, Thomas Newbold of Santa Cruz, CA, and Patrick Newbold of San Luis Obispo, CA.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Kapaa with visitation from 9:00 A.M. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 A.M.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Newbold family with arrangements.
