Lower back pain? Bad knees? Sore shoulders? Migraines? Tendinitis? Starting today, you don’t have to live in pain!
This week’s book review is “Pain Free — A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain,” by Pete Egoscue (with Roger Gittines). “Pain Free” has helped bring permanent pain relief to hundreds of thousands of people.
Mr. Egoscue, a former Marine officer wounded in Vietnam, became an exercise therapist as a direct result from his long rehabilitation. Through a series of specificstretches and motion exercises, he discovered a way to restore proper function to his muscles and joints. He now has his own clinic. He has treated and helped numerous people, including athletes like Jack Nicklaus and others.
What most people call “old age” often times is either muscle atrophy or improper nutrition. “Pain Free” focuses on how you can utilize your own body to free yourself from these “permanent” pains.
With all the heavy lifting we do in our bookstore, the exercises shown in this book have helped us out many times!
“Pain Free” is a great guide, complete with easy-to-follow pictures of each exercise and diagrams of the body to explain what is being worked on.
Each chapter focuses on different pain areas, helping you to easily find the area you want to remedy.
What is great about the exercises in the book is they are all gentle on the body, and can be done by most everyone.
Mr. Egoscue’s methods have a proven 95 percent success rate, often times resolving pain issues that were deemed incurable by others. “Pain Free” helps us take responsibility for our own health, which is the best gift we can give ourselves!
