HANAPEPE — Residents and people working in the Hanapepe and Eleele area are welcome to help activate and organize a community association, said Hanapepe resident Wayne Souza.
Souza and Dorothea Hayashi, another Hanapepe resident, are hosting a meeting Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hanapepe Public Library meeting room.
The effort was started following the recent community meetings on the County of Kauai General Plan Update.
“We, in the Eleele and Hanapepe areas, want to improve our communications with county government, and within the community for the betterment of our area,” Hayashi said.
