Kathy Joy Denise Louis, 54, of Omao, Kauai Passed away on July 3, 2015 At Straub Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1960in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a Baker with Koloa School Cafeteria.
Kathy is preceded in death by her Mother Emily Keoho Aucion, Grandmother Elizabeth Haluapo,
Sisters Makalapua Haluapo, Hattie Telles, Marylyn Gerardo & Rose Leilani Garcia and her brothers Ioane & Kawano Haluapo , Albert Keoho, Sr., Guardians James & Mary Gerardo, her granddaughter Ivy Louis.
She is survived by her husband: Matthew Louis, daughter, Bridget Louis, son Matthew (Rosanna) Louis, grandson, Anthony Louis, granddaughter, Lily Louis. Kathy also is survived by her sisters: Joyce (Terry) Daligdig, Alison (Clayton) Silver, Sr. and Brenda (Rey) Coloma; her brothers: Wayne Sees, Howard Sees, James Gerardo, Alan Gerardo, Brian (Shanell) Gerardo, Clifford (Dannette) Lee, Edward Keoho, Sr., David (Bruna) Lam and Francis Lam as well as numerous nieces, nephews, auntie, uncles, cousins & many friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday July 24, 2015 at Borthwick Mortuary Chapelin Koloa from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday July 25, 2015 at Lihue First Church at 10:00 am. Services and Inurnment to follow.

Mitsuo ‘Mike’ Miyajima
Mitsuo “Mike” Miyajima, longtime administrator and educator for the DOE State of Hawaii, who served on the islands of Maui and Kaua’i, passed away on February 17, 2015. Mitsuo was born in Pu’unene on Maui on July 7, 1918 to Kiyoki and Tsumo Miyajima.
He is survived by his wife, Leo; children Debra, Glenn and Michele; grandchildren Lisa, Alana, N.Pili; brother Charles (Margaret), sister Sue(Dom) Domozych and significant extended family, nephews and nieces, Karl, Michael (Kili) and Sue(Brian). Private services will be held.
The family has been assisted by Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary.
Steven Wheeler
Steven Davis Wheeler of Lihue, Hawaii passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015 at the age of 70. He was born in Banana River, Florida. He lived most of his adult life in Minnesota where he graduated from Macalester College and William Mitchell School of Law. Early in his career he was a corporate attorney and officer with Northwest Airlines. He then went on to be the chief judge of the Workers Compensation Court of Appeals, and retired as a District Court Judge in Ramsey County, St. Paul Minnesota.
Steve is survived by his wife Margaret Wheeler, his 2 children Benjamin Wheeler and Heidi Mueller, his 2 step-children Christine D’Amico and Michael Johnson and 10 amazing grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Catherine Wilson and Nancy Flippert and one brother, James Wheeler.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church on Sunday July 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM with a pupu reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kauai Hospice or St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, or a charity of your choice.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Wheeler family with arrangements.
Kei Hirano
Kei Hirano, 84, of Kauai, died on June 20, 2015 in Kailua. He was born in Kalaheo, Kauai. He was a Circuit Court Judge and a Korean War U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jessie M. Hirano; son, Todd Y. Hirano; daughter, Sharyl J. (Tom) Hirano; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family has chosen to hold private services. Donations may be made to Hospice Hawaii.
