Golfers on Kauai have three days to participate in the World’s Largest Golf Outing benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
Troon, ClubCorp, and Toll Golf will join forces with Billy Casper Golf to make the WLGO the biggest one-day celebration of golf and charity.
Golfers on Kauai can enjoy the event at three BCG courses starting Saturday at the Princeville Makai Golf Course with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Registration for the four-person team format is $85 and includes a $10 player donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, green fees and shared cart.
WLGO moves to the Kauai Lagoons Golf Club, Sunday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is $55 per player.
On Monday, WLGO moves to the Puakea Golf Course with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is $55 per player.
Part of the event proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, and teams are encouraged to raise additional funds.
Last year, 12,100 golfers, including 364 injured service members, at 110 courses in 27 states raised more than $887,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, the largest amount ever from a single-day golf event. This was more than 2013 when 10,000 golfers raised $735,000, according to a release from Billy Casper Golf.
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors.
