LIHUE — The Major League Baseball Alumni Association and Chevy Dealers Hawaii are hosting a free youth baseball clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lihue County Park.
Youth baseball players from age 6 through 14 are welcome to register for the clinic starting at 9:30 a.m.
Jack Hodges, recently inducted into the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, said the Kauai stop is just one on a four-island tour taking place this week.
“This free clinic has been very successful in previous years, both here in Hawaii and on the Mainland,” Hodges said.
Hodges is expected to take part in the clinic along with former MLB player and coach Glenn Mickens and other baseball standouts.
