Thank you, Grace Yatsko
This young lady really has become her name, Grace. When you give a child a Hawaiian name you must be careful because the child becomes like the name. So it must be in the case of Grace. I’ve only known this young lady and her sister Cassidy for a short time. I’m so very proud of both of them because they are perfect examples for the youth of today.
I only hope my grandchildren will follow their example. Grace interviewed me for her school project about what Friendship House meant to me. Some of the members of Friendship House say the sisters were allowed to make friends with them when they were little ones. There was no stigma in the young ladies’ hearts and not to mention how well their parents brought them up.
Their dad, Jack, still works for Friendship House without pay when he returns from his job starting club houses around the world. I say he still works for Friendship House because he still drops in when time permits and we can call him anytime we need help. He stopped by once and I was writing an article and asked his input and he wasn’t too busy to help me. I met Mrs. Yatsko once at her home and she was a perfect hostess. They are very special people.
