Betty Mae Lehnan
Betty Mae Lehnan of Kapaa previously of Miami Springs, Florida and Farmington, Michigan passed away at home Aug. 27, 2015, at the age of 95. She was born in Kentucky on Jan. 16, 1920 and is retired.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Lehnan and daughter, Elaine Harre.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (John) Young of Kapaa; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a family gathering at a later date to celebrate Betty’s life.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Donald Ceballos
Donald Ceballos of Dana Point California passed away on Sept. 20, 2015, at the age of 70. He was born in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii on April 13, 1945. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Ceballos Sr. and brother, Francisco Ceballos Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Mai Ceballos; mother, Lucia Ceballos; two brothers, Glenn (Mona) Ceballos and Errol (Rose) Ceballos; sister-in-law, Sandy Ceballos; one son, Donnie Ceballos; one daughter, Lisa Martz; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at Holy Cross Church with viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. and Mass Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Ceballos family with arrangements.
Donna Ancheta Kim
Donna S. “Shanna” Ancheta Kim, 62, of Pauwela, Maui, surrounded by family and close friends, passed away at Maui Memorial Medical Center on June 30, 2015.
Shanna is survived by her husband, Dwayn Kim, children, Robert Ancheta, Misty Ancheta, Dayne Kim, Moani (Brandon) Starr, Elijah Otoman; brothers, John (Christy) Ancheta, Patrick (Sherry) Ancheta; sisters, Sylvia Akana, Cynthia (Edward) Taano, Mary (Wenny) Rivera, Frances Souza, Berna (Mark) McLean, Pearlie (James) Bio, Kathy (Scott) Sorenson, Brendelyn Ancheta, Kimberly Cummings; granddaughter Nanea Trier and two grandsons, Jeraiah Kalalau and Brody Dale.
Shanna is predeceased by her parents, Bernaldo Ancheta and Lourdes Olores of Kekaha, Kauai; brothers, Bernaldo Ancheta Jr., Jerry Ancheta and sister, Vanessa Ancheta.
A celebration of Shanna’s life will take place in a Beachside Service located at the beach in front of St. Theresa’s Church at 8343 Kaumualii Highway, Kekaha, Kauai, on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at 9 a.m. followed by scattering of ashes.
A potluck at Salt Pond in Hanapepe in honor of Shanna will follow.
Rufo Ibea Radona
Rufo “Papa” Ibea Radona of Lihue, formerly of Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Sept. 19, 2015, at the age of 99. Papa was born on Nov. 6, 1915, in Barangay Santa Cruz, Sinait Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He was an irrigator for Kekaha Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded by his parents, Marcelo and Augustina Radona; companion, Bessie Largo; daughters, Quintina Radona, Dolly Babayan, Judy Hanohano and Geraldine Kawamura; sons, Benjamin Radona and Rudy Largo.
Papa is survived by his son, Jose (Agripina) Radona; daughters, Magdalena (Rolando) Sidiaren; step sons, Joe (Ivy) Jamero, James (Rose) Largo, Chris (Rose) Largo, Leslie (Corrine) Largo, Gary (Lee) Largo; step daughter, Amparo Abalos; brother, Alfonso (Generosa) Radona as well as 29 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren and 67 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire.
