Hisao “Hisa” Ishimoto of Lihue, Kauai passed away on Aug. 11, 2015, at the age of 84. “Hisa” was born in Japan in 1931. He was a Home Planning Department Manager of Amfac in Hanapepe and retired as Construction and Land Superintendant for the Lihue Plantation Company.
He is survived by his son, Deryck (Toni) Ishimoto; daughters, Pamela (Miles) Mizukami and Lynn (Gabe) Garcia; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sister, Betty (Jack) Hayase and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Hisa” was preceded in death by his parents, Hideo and Ae Ishimoto; brother, George Ishimoto and sisters Yukie (Hisahi) Fujimoto, Linda (Carl) Schumacher and Chizuno Ishimoto.
Private services held. The family humbly asks no monetary gifts.
The Ishimoto family is assisted by Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary.
