Kudos to the Zonta Club of Kauai for acknowledging the hard work being done by caregivers from both the Kauai Hospice and Share A Care. MaBel Fujiuchi always has the touch for finding the right words to fit the occasion, and Lori Miller of Kauai Hospice and Deborah Duda of Share A Care were most appreciative of the Zonta Club’s efforts. Happy Baskets are good — not just for caregivers, but for anyone who needs a lift.
Laura Koga (wasn’t she helping with the Kauai Powwow Friday night with the Kauai High School Key Club in getting attendance counts?) was part of the Kauai High School homecoming celebration (mahalo to Penny Vess for having an extra set of dialog so we can get the court recognized) Saturday. Congratulations to Michaela Licke (and where was Ross Shimabukuro?) on being the homecoming queen!
Ross was at the cross country race along with Keith Burgess (and Chris Ang came all the way from Kilauea to help) before getting to the football game.
OK, time to fly — assignments have me going to visit Bobby and Ken Kubota in Kapaa.
