The Futsal Kauai Boys Under 8 and the Kapaa Lions Boys Under 8 soccer teams each won a pair of wins Sunday as the Kauai Soccer Association continued its fall season games at the North Vidinha fields in Lihue.
Kimo Kupihea led the Futsall Kauai BU8 attack, scoring two goals each in the team’s 9-0 win over Na Hoku GU8 and another two goals when the Futsal Kauai BU8 got past Na Hoku GU8, 5-1 in the nightcap. In the victory, Futsal Kauai BU8 notched 14 goals while allowing just one goal from Na Hoku GU8.
The sole goal came off the foot of Naia Spindt to prevent a total shutout.
Futsal Kauai BU8 got goals from Kimo Kupihea (4), Koapaka Brandenburg (2), Andrew Durocher (2), Isaiah Noguchi (2), Cheikh Sall (2) and Kawika Kupihea (2).
The wins keeps Futsal Kauai BU8 at the top of the U8 standings with an undefeated 5-0 record and 15 points.
The Kapaa Lions BU8 completed the Under 8 division play, claiming dual win over the Futsal Kauai Girls Under 8 team, 6-0, and 6-1 when Wainohia Kitamura found the net for Futsal Kauai GU8 to prevent the shutout.
Luka Lasky-Martin and Jackson Street led the Lions’ attack with two goals each with Keoni Sasali and Markus Lizarraga topping the 6-0 win. Street fueled the second win with four goals followed by Lasky-Martin and Lizarraga each finding the net.

NSFC GU10 defeated Team Onipaa GU10, 2-0 led by Alyssa Lyons, who scored two goals.
Julia Durocher and Mia Kaneakua-Inoshita marked goals to lead Futsal Kauai GU10 to a 2-0 win over the Kalaheo Fire GU10.
The Lihue Arsenal BU10 battled the Lihue Galaxy BU10 to a 0-0 deadlock.
Curren Pope of the Hanalei FCBU10 scored two goals, and was answered by Keahi BU10’s Jacob Grossman finding the net twice as the two teams locked up a 2-2 stalemate.
Mia Kaneakua-Inoshita found the net four times to lead Futsal Kauai BU10 to a 7-0 shutout over Team Onipaa BU10. Helping with the scoring, Julia Durocher and Saiden MacDonald each netted a goal.
The victory keeps Futsal Kauai BU10 undefeated with a 4-0 record and 13 points in the Under 10 Boys standings.
Hiilani Bukoski, Kaleonahe Bukoski and Kaya Camara each scored goals to lead the Lihue Cougars GU12 to a 3-2 edge over the NSFC GU12 who got nets from Kalista Brigante and Emma Simmons.
Angeline Nizo had the only goal to lead Team Onipaa GU12 to a 1-0 edge over the Kalaheo Fire GU12, and Kaia Davis-Caberto scored a hat trick, or three goals scored, to lead Futsal Kauai GU12 to a 7-0 win over Makani GU12. Taylor Inoshita, Kaualani Kaai, Hailey Overmyer and Tierra Washington helped the Futsal win with goals.
Bodhi Moomaw found the net for Futsal Kauai BU12, but the goal was answered by Zashary Hermanns from the NSFC BU12 for thef 1-1 deadlock.
Jayden Celebrado netted two goals to lead the Lihue Arsenal Black BU12 to a 6-0 blanking over the Keahu BU12, Celebrado getting help from Jordan Andres, Jaffi Bautista and Elise Yukimura who each scored a goal.
Jasmine Semblante found the net twice to lead Team Onipaa BU12 to a 4-2 showing over the Lihue Arsenal Red BU12. Semblante got help from Aiden Ibbs and Jessica Cezar in the victory. Cody Manibog and Kai Pappas did the scoring honors for the Lihue Arsenal Red BU12.
Conor Hunt, Whitney Lugo and Nicholas Semblante each netted two goals to lead Team Onipaa BU14 to a 9-0 blanking over Team Onipaa BU13. Helping the leaders, Kane Casillas, Abishai Christensen, and Jonathan Hine each added goals in the win.
Shayden Duldulao netted a hat trick for Keahi BU14, but the effort could not get past the NSFC BU14 who walked off the field with a 5-3 edge, led by goals from Lucas Anakalea, Kaiana Haumea-Oliver, Victor Hepburn, Kieran Mitchell, and Kellen O’Rourke.
Talia Washington netted a hat trick and Mia Takekuma found the net twice to lead Futsal Kauai GU14 to a 9-2 showing over the Lihue Cougars GU14 who got nets from Hiilani Bukoski and Jessica Hreljac. Helping the leaders, Dina Hayes, Victoria Hennessy, Kayla Kawamura and Karlee Sukehira scored goals for Futsal Kauai GU14.
Emma Kelekoma netted a hat trick and Kyla Bandsma scored a goal to give Team Onipaa GU17 a 4-3 edge over the Kauai Pride GU16 who got two goals from Sheila Blum and a goal from Shaylia Pimental.
Conor Hunt and Andrew King each found the net twice to lead Team Onipaa BU16 to a 9-7 edge over Keahi BU16 in a score-a-thon where Shayden Duldulao took the lead for Keahi BU16 with two goals. Helping the Team Onipaa BU16 win, Sonoi Kawakami, Ka Alae Ula Miike, Tai Ofisa, Hao Trugillo and Ethan Yamamoto each scored a goal. Kassidie Bukoski and Emma Kelekoma each netted a goal for Team Onipaa BU17.
Kyla Bandsma scored two goals top lead Team Onipaa GU17 to a 4-2 edge over the Kauai Pride GU16 in the day’s finale. Kassidie Bukoski and Emma Kelekoma helped the win with goals while Hanna Collins-Doijode did the honors for Kauai Pride.
