The annual Old Town Kapaa Turkey Trot is set for 7:30 a.m. Thanksgiving day. The informal event offers a 5K and 10K walk, run or bike that goes along Ke Ala Hele Makalae, which offers terrific views of the ocean.

The informal event offers a 5K and 10K walk, run or bike that goes along Ke Ala Hele Makalae, which offers terrific views of the ocean. The start and finish is at Kapaa Beach Park. Check-in is at 6:45 a.m.
It is free. Participants are encouraged to donate non-perishable food for Hale Ho‘omau or contribute money to the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce.
The Turkey Trot generally attracts several hundred people, kids to adults. Some dress in costumes, including turkey hats.
There will be two water stations. Both are turnaround points for the 5K and 10K.
The community event is presented by Work It Out in Kapaa.
