Congratulations to Kyle Oshima (Maya Oshima of the Lihue Patriots said she’s related) on taking over Ara’s in Hanamaulu!
Yukie DeSilva said they got “Hanamaulu Chicken” and “Hanamaulu Shrimp!”
Kudos to Brenda Jose on a great Kauai Pop Warner Football League regional and national qualifying spirit championship event! Mahalo to Ginny Agena for recognizing the monopod that got left behind during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation cheer competition, and getting it to Yvonne Hosaka (she was also at the KIF cheer competition).
Gayle Thompson and Jeannie Morris were great as emcees (if you’re teachers, you get to know a lot about the participants), and even Vicky Ramos (she’s at Kauai Handworks craft fair the Saturday after Thanksgiving) came to hear Marli Genegabuas render the national and state anthems.
Great job to Pam and Teddy Arroyo for keeping the Pop Warner program exciting for the young people, and mahalo to Hanapepe Colts Coach Kylie Linoz for being able to see in the dark and recognize Kaina Hasegawa as the player who hit the end zone in the dark.
