Kudos to John and Maria Moseley on another great Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational golf tournament. John and Maria were everywhere, along with Pumpkin (she’s not orange, she’s black) doing lunch distribution, scoring, and everything else that needed doing.
John was especially proud of the work done by Randy Fleming of Hawaiian Hardwoods who created the special wave trophy for both the team and individualist winners. And, John and Maria’s son is also named Randy.
Mahalo to Derek Inouchi, who got help from Daniel Mar Chong in helping with the live scoring (can’t ever imagine covering a golf tournament without live scoring!) duty, and helping ID the players. Ronn Miyashiro was seen just long enough for a quick “hi” and “bye,” but Bryden Salvador’s parents and Kapaa High School coach had a bit more time to chat.
Pono Tokioka’s parents were both out and about Tuesday and you did not need an interpreter to know Pono’s feelings about the bunker at No. 9.
