HANAPEPE — The Storybook Theatre is seeking help in naming two inflatable monk seals.
The seals were created by fabric artist Evelyn Roth in an effort to introduce students to the threatened species, according to a release from the Storybook Theatre.
The seals, which are also inflatable classrooms, will go on a statewide tour, starting in mid-February, and the theatre hopes to name them before they leave.
The naming contest is open to students who attend fourth or fifth grade.

As part of the application, students must explain why the names were chosen and on a separate page, write a short poem or story about the seal
The deadline for entry is Jan. 22. Winners will receive a $25 cash prize and will appear on the Russell and Rooster Show.
