Carmen Mateo Bostick
Carmen Mateo Bostick of Waimea, Kauai passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital (KVMH) on Jan. 9, 2016 at the age of 80. Born on June 26, 1935, in Kilauea, Kauai, she was a retired educational assistant on the island of Kauai.
She is survived by her partner, Kevin McMahon; sons, JJ (Stephanie) Bostick of Kekaha, John (Joni) Bostick of Kekaha and Paul (Amanda Vegas) Bostick of Hanapepe; daughter, Cynthia (Michael Hallinan) Bostick of Makakilo, Oahu; seven grandchildren, Dominic Bardi of Honolulu, Ariel Schaefer of Texas, Samantha Bostick of Kekaha, Galen Bostick of Hanapepe, Lexcy Bostick of Hanapepe, Kenui Bostick of Hanapepe, and Nakoa Bostick of Hanapepe; brothers, Barney (Jane) Mateo of Eleele, and Benny (Bea) Mateo of California; sisters, Mary (Ritchie) Gentry of California, Rose Michael of Kekaha, and Youngie (Dean) Akita of California; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Carmen’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Waimea Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested.

Janet L. Farineau of Koloa, Kauai and formerly of Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii passed away on Jan. 19, 2016 at the age of 69 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Born on Feb. 10, 1946 in North Apollo, Pennsylvania, she was the imaging manager for Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eleanor Shriver, sister, Isabel Shriver, and brothers, Thomas Shriver.
She is survived by: husband, Mike Wilson, Koloa, Kauai, daughter, MAJ Shari (CDR Tom) Shugart, U.S. Army, Oahu, son, Michael Farineau, Mililani, Oahu, brother, John (Brenda) Shriver Jr., Austin, Texas numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Celebration of Life to be announced.

Betty Lou Lee of Hawaii Kai passed away at home on Jan. 7, 2016 at the age of 86. Born on June 27, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. T. Lee, son John Newell and daughter Pamella Hickey.
She is survived by son, Robert “Bobby” (Marie) Lee, of Lihue, daughters Mary (Lowell) Pang of Hawaii Kai and Frances “Frankie” (Bill) Garcia of Brandon, Florida, son-in-law Michael Hickey of Honolulu, daughter-in-law Cathy Newell of Missouri, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private services were held.
Jeffrey Lindemann
Jeffrey Lindemann of Wailua, Kauai passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 18, 2016 at the age of 59. Born on July 23, 1956, in New Ulm, Minnesota, he was an Air Force veteran and a research teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Gale Lindemann; sons, Jeffrey Lindemann of Kauai, Wesley Lindemann of California, Robert Lindemann of Kauai, and Byron Lindemann of California; mother, Mariela Lindemann of California; mother-in-law, Mildred Kurihara of Kauai; brothers, Lance Lindemann of California, Lee (Roxanna) Lindemann of California, Bruce Lindemann of California, and Kirk Lindemann of California; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.
Services to be held in California at a later a date.
