Larry Rivera is in a state of panic since Feb. 9 is Malasada Tuesday and he always used to get his malasada from Marlena. What’s a person going to do? First the Menehune Mart in Lawai closed down, now it’s Kauai Malasada, and there has been no new sources for malasada.
Good luck to Jarett in the “new” store! Everyone wishes him and his family the best (one of the associates even said Ron Wiley was talking about how Jarett gave up a radio to someone), and he was always there during the March for Babies at Lydgate Park, and at the Shop With A Cop!
Kudos to Rose Loke Dahle, Edwin Vea, Sherri Sanchez Holcomb and all the Miss Garden Isle committee on another great pageant. Rose said she didn’t know if Paul Hayashi was coming since Maui was holding its pageant on the same night.
OK, time to go check out Shar Ravelo (oops, forgot I qualify as a senior citizen) and the Wellness Expo. With events like this, it’s no wonder Hawaii gets top ratings for well-being and health by Gallup for the past five out of eight years.
