Dorothy Mary (Stason) Milles
Dorothy Mary (Stason) Milles, originally from Hawaii, passed away on Sept. 26, 2015, in Tacoma, Wash., at the age of 87. She was born Jan. 2, 1928, to the late Mary (Camara) and Donat Stason of Kapaa, Kauai.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph D. Stason, and son John K. Milles Jr. She is survived by her daughter Sharleen PuaNani Maglione of American Canyon, CA, son Michael K. Milles of Waiana,e HI, daughter Marylee L. Milles of Tacoma, WA, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waianae, Oahu, HI. Gravesite service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kapaa, Kauai, HI.
David Douglas Clark
Dave was born to Robina and David Clark on Feb. 10, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, but he always considered himself a “Kauai Boy,” having come to the islands when he was 3 years old. He attended Punahou School, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Pierce School of Agriculture. He also served two years in the U.S. Navy. Dave married Sheila Brown of Hilo in 1954.
Dave worked for Theo H. Davies/Pacific Machinery for 35 years on Kauai and the Big Island. His extensive knowledge of heavy equipment and his love of people enabled him to successfully sell machinery to sugar plantations, contractors, ranchers and farmers throughout the islands. Dave contributed to Hawaii through many organizations including the Rotary Club, Red Cross, Girl Scouts, Hawaiian Sugar Planters’ Association, Hawaii Cattlemen’s Association, Honolulu Humane Society, Punahou Alumni and others.
Dave is survived by his companion and partner Joan Rohlfing of Honolulu; his three children David John “D.J.” Clark (Katty) of Mercer Island, WA, Heather Johnson (Doug) of Anchorage, AK, and Mary Kay Alexander (Brian) of Eugene, OR, and their mother, Sheila B. Clark of Mt. View, HI. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Peter and Delaney Clark and Austin and Grace Johnson.
Dave passed on Dec. 27, 2015, in Honolulu at age 85. Per his wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. Gifts in his memory may be sent to Punahou School or YMCA of Honolulu.
Lester Lopes
Lester Lopes of Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Dec. 7, 2015, at the age of 62.
Born on the Island of Oahu and preceded in death by father, Albert Lopes Jr.
Survived by mother, Edna Lopes, son, Shane Lopes, sisters, Stephanie Uejio, Raynette Lopes, Tammy (Kenneth) Chun, Melissa (John) Rogne, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Private services were held.
Harold Falch Eichelberger
Harold Falch Eichelbergerof Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Jan. 7, 2016, at the age of 78.
Born on April 19, 1937, in San Jose, California, he was a retired employee of the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
Preceded in death by parents, Harold C. and Isabel Falch Eichelberger, wife, Emmaline Smith Eichelbergerson, and Samuel Kalikomokihana Eichelberger.
Survived by sisters, Elisabeth (Arthur M.) Eichelberger, Kuehl Margaret (Roger A.) Eichelberger Ulveling.
Private services were held. Arrangements by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Koloa, Kauai.
Felicidad Dela Rosa Hermosura
Felicidad Dela Rosa Hermosura of Oahu, formerly of Kauai, passed away on Oahu on Jan. 15, 2016, at the age of 94. She was born in Sta. Lucia, Philippines on March 4, 1921, and was a former employee of Grove Farm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hermosura.
Felicidad is survived by two sons, Isidro (Florenda) Hermosura of Oahu, Gabriel (Isabel) Hermosura of California; daughter, Editha (Malcolm) Greer of Hawaii Island; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary and Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hermosura family with arrangements.
