Kapaa High School’s varsity boys paddling crew finished seventh in the final race of the First Hawaiian Bank Canoe Paddling Championships on Oahu on Saturday.
The Warrior boys clocked a time of 03:52:01. Punahou of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu finished first with a time of 03:31:81. Kapaa placed second in its semifinal heat with a time of 03:51:24.
Kapaa’s varsity mixed crew missed on advancing to the final. The crew placed third in its semifinal race with a time of 03:58:14. Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League finished first in the mixed division.
Kauai High’s varsity girls paddling crew, too, missed on getting into the final heat. The Red Raider girls finished with a time of 04:26:71 in their semifinal heat. ILH’s Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama finished first in the girls division.
