Roundup affects health of people
The Netherlands are calling on other governments throughout Europe to follow the Dutch example and ban the sale of Roundup, Monsanto’s hugely profitable poison.
Scientific studies — the ones not funded by Monsanto — and health experts agree that Roundup is dangerous. And it’s everywhere.
Roundup is one of the most popular weedkillers in the world, and it’s one of the most common pollutants in soil and water. When a farmer sprays crops with Roundup, the chemical sinks into the ground and leaches into the water. It’s in the food that we eat and the water that we drink.
The result? Cancer, kidney damage, birth defects – those are just a few of Roundup’s effects on our bodies. I believe some day, we will do the same.

County leaders have wrong priorities
So one week the county officials are telling us that they need to raise taxes to cover “shortfalls”in the budget. The
next week they are considering giving themselves a raise in pay because “some employees make more than their bosses.” So
we are being asked to reward the failure of officials who can’t manage to stay within a budget they approved?
While the mayor and councilmembers fly to Washington D.C. for meetings, read vacations, we all need to pay more taxes.
Enough! We had bright, knowledgeable candidates last year and not one got voted in. Let’s change the way business is
done here. County government needs to get their priorities straight. It’s time for new blood.
