Mildred Kuki Kolo Chow
Mildred Kuki Kolo Chow of Puhi passed away in Lihue on Jan. 22, 2016, at the age of 87. Born on July 14, 1928, in Lihue, she was a laundry attendant with Kaua’i Surf Hotel, honorary member of Ahahui Kaahumanu Society Chapter 6 Kauai and member of Alu Like Kupuna program.
Preceded in death by husband, Richard Ah Hung Chow Sr.; son, Timmy Jay Ah Tai Chow Sr.; hanai son, Kaleo Oana; parents, William Kaiwi Sr. and Mary Kanikela Kolo; siblings, Mary Magdalene Chow, William Kaiwi Kolo Jr., David Kawika Kolo, Samuel Palea Kolo, Alapai Kolo, Lorraine Kawahine Kilomana Danner, Norman Keali’iaukai Kolo, Leslie Kanikela Kolo, Lillian Leihulu Agtarap and Alice Puanani Silverman.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Mary Ann) Chow Jr. of Oahu and Lloyd (Rose Mary Oganeku) Chow of Nawiliwili; daughters, Colleen (Frank) Nadarisay of Puhi and Noelle (Ford) Kimura of Lihue, daughter-in-law, Debby Chow of South Carolina; grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel) Rapozo, Richelyn (Richard) Chow, Jeanelle Chow, Frank Nadarisay Jr., Rae-Ann (Jamie) Hyatt, Lea (Zoom) Bukoski, Regina (Troy) Otake, Timmy Chow Jr., Rebecca Chow, Renee Chow, Delta Taniguchi, Brock Aki; great-grandchildren, Rienice Chow, Kaiwi Nadarisay-Bejo, Reign Hoban, Kaimi Gonzalez, Wailana Bukoski, Kainalu Nadarisay, Pinehaka Bukoski, Na’ialeleokekai Hyatt, Hope Hyatt, Kainoa Rapozo, Talia Otake, Talon Otake; great-greatgrandchild, Hikianalia Chow-Jones; sisters, Elsie Mokihana Ka’ahaina of Oahu and Louisa Eta Kaleiokalani Brown of Arkansas and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Rufino Taroma
Rufino Taroma of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on Feb. 3, 2016, at the age of 93.
He was born on March 30, 1922, in Paoay Ilocos Norte, Philippines and he was a irrigator for Kekaha Sugar Co.
Preceded in death by parents, Flaviano and Simplicia Taroma; wife, Cayetana Gasidan Taroma and son, Rustom Taroma.
Rufino is survived by sons, Orlando (Connie) Taroma Roger (Fely) Taroma; daughters, Teresita, (Amor) Balisacan, Nenita (Godofredo) Alegre Jr., Elena (Roberto) Dadufalza, Elisa (Efren) Pascua, Nora (Eugene) Baptista, Ophelia (Ray) Martin, Grace (Villamora) Ganiron; brother, Constancio Taroma; sister, Julia Taroma; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa, 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Kekaha.
Visitation at 9 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Family suggest casual attire.

Brian Silva
Brian Silva passed away at Hale Kupuna on Jan. 26, 2016, at the age of 63. Born on Oct. 30, 1952, to Andrew and Norma “Silva” Vidinha, he was a heavy equipment operator with Kekaha Sugar and an umpire for various baseball and softball organizations throughout Kauai.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest G. Silva and Marian “Huddy” Silva.
Brian is survived by his son, Dustin (Jessica Tabije) Silva of Oahu; three grandchildren, Justin Josiah Silva, Daniel Silva, and Faith Silva, all of Oahu; twin brother, Burt (Ku’ulei) Vidinha of Kekaha; sisters, Erleen “Erla” Akana of Kekaha and Jayneen (BG) Laysa of Kalaheo and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.

Lois ‘Tita’ Leilani Medeiros Bactad
Lois “Tita” Leilani Medeiros Bactad was born on April 6, 1984, and passed away on Jan. 6, 2016, at the age of 31.
Lois is survived by her significant other Jason Price; only child, Hazie Williams; parents, Eunice and Rick Estacio Jr., sisters, Natalia McNamara, Nicole Estacio (Robby Silva Jr.); brother, Jordan Oligo; nephew, Po’okela Silva, Kamanu Silva; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nieces, and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Nawiliwili Beach Park from noon till pau.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Henry Abreu
Henry Abreu of Kalaheo, passed away at Straub Hospital on Oahu on Jan. 24, 2016, at the age of 83.
Born on July 15, 1932, in Makaweli, he was a retired construction laborer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leatrice Joy Abreu; brothers, William Abreu, James Abreu, Eddie Abreu and sister, Beatrice Capoci.
Henry is survived by daughters, Helen Abreu of Kalaheo, Karen Hudson of Oahu, Joycelyn (Evan) Vasconcelles of Lawai and Rose Canales of Lawai; grandchildren, Alana (Darren) Agustin, Waylon Brun, Victoria Hudson, Alexis Hudson, Kira Abreu and Sarah Canales; great-grandchidren, Aaliyah and Dakota Agustin; brother, Nelson (Tina) Abreu and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Feb. 27, 2016, at St Rapheal’s Catholic Church in Koloa. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to follow.
Natsuko Yamamoto Tada
Natsuko Yamamoto Tada of Kapaa, Kauai passed away at home on Jan. 24, 2016, at the age of 86. Born on July 4, 1929, in Honolulu, Oahu, she was employed at Kapaa Big Save Snack Bar and Kapaa Bakery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Yonezo and Mine Yamamoto; brother, Ben T. Yamamoto and sister, Tsugie Nakamoto.
Natsuko is survived by her husband, Edward Haruo Tada of Kapaa; sons, Glenn (Karyn) Tada of Hilo and Leslie Tada of Kapaa; daughters, Deborah (Randy Wong) Tada of Honolulu and Susan (Loran) Wilson of Honolulu; five grandchildren, Roslyn Ladera, Aaron Tada, Kendall Tada, Daniel Tada and Lindsey Wilson; sister, Reiko Yoshimura of Wahiawa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Natsuko’s Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with services to follow at 3 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Robert ‘Robbie’ Edward Lemmon Kaholokula
Robert “Robbie” Edward Lemmon Kaholokula of Kapaa passed in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 9, 2016, at the age of 55. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on May 25, 1960, and was an entertainer.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Harriet Kaholokula.
Robbie is survived by his wife, Perle “Puamohala” Kaholokula; sons, Baron Kaholokula of Oahu; daughter, Lei Ui (Kaha’i) Choy of Oahu; brothers; Kimo (Ipo) Kaholokula of Wailua, Jimmy (Heika) Fujita of Kalaheo, Jordan (Shirley) Kahananui of Kilauea; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m.
Aloha Attire suggested.

Jaime Caluntad Tolbe
Jaime Caluntad Tolbe of Kaumakani passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital at the age 88, on Jan. 31, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Figueira; parents, Pedro Tolbe and Clara Cabana and brother, Jose Tolbe Sr.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Howard (Anna Marie) Tolbe of Eleele, Brandon Tolbe of Gloucester, Massachusetts and Preston Tolbe of Kaumakani; daughters, Clara (Gary) Mackler of Lawai and Colleen (Jovan) Bautista of Hanapepe; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Jaime will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m. with military honors.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Carmen Abreu
Carmen Abreu of Lawai, Kauai, was born on July 9, 1926, and passed away at the age of 89 on Feb. 9, 2016, in Lihue, Kauai.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Perry and survived by her husband, David Abreu Sr.; son, David (Sharon) Abreu Jr. of Lawai; daughter, Edna Abreu of Lawai; four grandchildren, Andrea (Koa Rita) Perry, Keith Perry, Shelley (Kaeo) Yuen, and Dave (Brandee) Abreu; six great-grandchildren, Taira Abreu, Brayden Abreu, Sage Yuen, Kamalani Yuen, Huntlee Rita and Elena Perry; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services for Carmen will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at the Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo. Visitation will begin at 8:30 to 10 a.m. with Mass to follow.
An Interment will then be followed at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.
