Amber McClure of Moloaa Bay Coffee said Naoto Utsunomiya and Kenta Kimura, both from Japan, were among the students she was teaching ocean navigation class to over the week. She said the students spent time in the water and were complaining about being sore all over. Nothing cures that better than the Hot Chocolate on a Stick.
Mahalo to Carolyn Lum (Nia Klutke went to get corn for her from the Waimea High School Project Grad kids) for finding that rare Domke Photog jacket at a garage sale (Sandi Kato-Klutke said it’s the holo holo jacket).
Kudos to the Waimea High School Project Grad crew on a great sweet corn sale! Beth Tokioka said the crew was out Friday afternoon harvesting at Syngenta Seeds, and Nia said they went through two truckloads of corn Saturday at the Kauai Community Market. Alyssa Pigao (her dad has a garage sale benefiting the American Cancer Society coming up April 3 at the Lawai Cannery Mini Storage) said they were also selling at Hofgaard Park in Waimea, but had to bring in more after selling out at the market.
OK, time to go learn more about the labyrinth from Rev. Ryan Newman at the All Saints’ Church and Preschool.
