LIHUE — A 56-year-old Kealia man arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin appeared in court recently for two separate cases.
Donald Potter is charged with two counts of promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of prohibited use of a firearm and one count of prohibited possession of ammunition. All charges are class C felonies except one of the firearm charges.
Potter was caught with heroin, methamphetamine and two 12-gauge shotguns with 13 shotgun shells in his possession.
He was arrested on Dec. 19, 2015.
Potter was convicted of a class B felony in 1995 for promoting a dangerous drug in the third and drug paraphernalia, a class C felony in the same year.
