A lot of motorists turn onto Awaa Place from Kawaihau Road in Kapaa thinking that there is an outlet, but there isn’t. How do we get a “No Exit” or “Dead End” sign to reduce misguided traffic?
The Public Works Engineering Division is in receipt of this request. A “No Outlet” sign on Awaa Road can be ordered and installed. Given the current schedule of this work, it is estimated that the sign can be installed within two months.
The northern end of Kaehulua Road, off Kawaihau Road, has overgrown grass and is creating hazardous driving conditions. Are there any plans to trim the overgrowth?
The Public Works Roads Division has requested that the Baseyard crew to respond to the report. If the overgrown grass is within the county’s right-of-way, it will be scheduled for maintenance.
