Irvin Cabreros Cadiz
Irvin Cabreros Cadiz of Kapaa passed away on Feb. 27, 2016, at the age of 30. He was born in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, on July 14, 1985, and worked at Plantation Hale as a houseman and a utility worker at St. Regis Hotel.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aquilino and Brigida Cadiz.
Irvin is survived by one son, Irvin Cadiz Jr.; one daughter, Chaira Cadiz; father, Irineo Cadiz of Honolulu; mother, Ligaya Cabreros of Hanamaulu; three brothers, Jonathan (Mia) Cadiz, Michael Cadiz, Arvin Lomboy; two sisters, Jennifer (Roland) Cuellar, Sherrie Lomboy; companion, Charlotte Domingo; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, one niece and one nephew.
A celebration of Irvin’s life will be held on April 30, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Cadiz family with arrangements.

Kenneth “Buddy” T. Perreira of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on April 4, 2016, at the age of 88.
Born on Aug. 19, 1927, in Kalaheo he was employed with the County of Kauai.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Sophie Perreira; wife, Claire Perreira; and brother, Paul Perreira.
He is survived by daughter, Roxanne (Scotty) Vidinha; son, Kenneth “Teddy” (Lynn) Perreira; sisters, Ethel Vierra, Barbara (Lynwood) Boynton, Agnes “Aggie” Perreira; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be April 23, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, visitation at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10.
Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Erinia “Mama Kahu” V. Figaroa of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on April 8, 2016, at the age of 81.
Born on Jan. 28, 1935, in Kukuiula Camp, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents, Francisco and Primitiva Villanida; husband, Joseph Figaroa Jr.; and son, Patrick Figaroa.
She is survived by daughters, Conchita “Ino” Rudy Schumacher, Las Vegas, Cynthia Young, Lihue, Veronica “Roni” (Abraham) Ramson Jr., Anahola, Lisa (Russell Sr.) Moody, Kapaa, Wanda Dawson, Hilo, Rosalind Figaroa, Lihue; sons, Robert (Joann) Figaroa Sr., Anahola, Bryan (Anna) Figaroa, Maui; brother, Johnson (Sharon) Villanida, Kalaheo; sister, Brenda (Stuart) Braun, Kapaa; 32 grandchildren and 77 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grand-children; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Born on Sept. 17, 1941, in Pu’uwai, Ni’ihau, she was a kupuna for the Department of Education.
She was preceded in death by husband, Levi P. Mawae Sr.; Kapena Bridges; and Kolonahe Mawae.
Rose is survived by her sons, Levi P. Mawae (Loel) Jr. of Lihue, James K. (Nanea) Mawae of Wisconsin; daughters, Tina (Mike) Girod of Kekaha, Rose Kanahele of Kekaha, Bernice L. (Steve) Schiller of Wisconsin, Princess K. (John) Mawae of Honolulu, Maryleen U. Mawae of Lihue, Lurline L. Mawae of Wisconsin; 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny A.
