POIPU — Cheyanne Tannery took a first place aboard Heidi (21.304) and added a second place aboard Frankie (21.630) in the 1st D of the Pole Bending event, Sunday during the Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association event at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu.
She added to the tally with a third place in the 1st D of Barrel Racing (18.264) en route to being named the All Cowgirl honor.
Tannery finished the day with a fourth place in the goat tying event (25.357).
Kira Pimental, topping the 3rd D of Barrel Racing (21.541), came in third in the goat tying (25.131) and partnered with Cora Murayama in the Dally Team Roping event to finish fifth with a 9.03 run on one go to claim the Reserve All Around Cowgirl honors for the event.
The next KAGRA rodeo will be held June 26 starting with the grand entry at 10 a.m. at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu.
