LIHUE — In recognition of Fair Housing Month in April, the County of Kauai will be offering free training on the Fair Housing Law.
The training will be held on Tuesday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lihue Civic Center, Piikoi Building, Rooms A and B.
“This is an excellent opportunity for the public to learn about the Fair Housing Law and I encourage anyone who’s interested in this important topic to please join us,” said Kauai County Housing Director Kanani Fu.
Among the topics that will be covered include reasonable accommodation of assistance animals, fair tenant selection process, and educating maintenance staff about accommodation/modification requirements
