LIHUE — The Department of Land and Natural Resources will hold a public meeting on the proposed Haena Community-Based Subsistence Fishing Area Management Plan at Kilauea School Cafeteria from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday.
The plan is intended to provide a framework to assist the DLNR and the Haena community in monitoring, evaluating, and managing the area within the Haeena ahupua‘a from the shoreline out to one mile.
At the meeting, the public can learn about the management activities proposed for the Haena CBSFA and to comment on it, as well.
