Geraldine Mae Costa
Geraldine Mae Costa of Kalaheo, passed away at the age of 72 on March 24, 2016, on Kauai, Hawaii. Born on May 3, 1943, in Paia, Maui, she was an executive housekeeping for Nihi Kai Villas in Poipu and homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Antone L. Costa; son, Roger W. Costa; parents, Alfred C. Medeiros and Elizabeth M. Kauha; and Virginia and Nicholas Rivera and brothers, Herbert C. Medeiros, Benjamin Francis Medeiros and David Medeiros.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Richard S. Costa of Arizona; daughters, Ramona L. A. Costa of Hanapepe, and Melanie R. Alesna of Kalaheo; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and hanai grandchildren; brother, Steven “Bruno” Medeiros of Pahoa, Hawaii; sister, Connie Francis Klein of Illinois; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be on May 28, 2016, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Burial is to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Casual attire is requested and flowers are welcomed.

James R. Gonsalves
James R. Gonsalves passed away at his residence on April 1, 2016, at the age of 85. Born on April 11, 1930, in Omao, he served in the army during the Korean War and retired as a Staff Sergeant from the Air National Guard, and was a Heavy Equipment Operator at PMRF.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes K. Naka’ahiki Gonsalves; sons, Gavin and Darren (Marissa) Gonsalves; grandson, Ryan Bukoski; great-grand-daughters, Miya Gonsalves and Reyne Silva; parents, John and Mariana Gonsalves; and brother, John Kilauea Gonsalves.
James is survived by his daughter, Jamesette “Keikilani” Johnson of Kekaha; son, Dayne (Antoinette) Gonsalves of Kekaha; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Marvin) Perry of Washington State, and Evangeline Hosino of California State; daughter-in-law, Maile Gonsalves; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will take place at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Yuriko Yukimura Nanbu
Yuriko Yukimura Nanbu of Lihue passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2016. Born in Lihue on March 26, 1927, she was a retired office clerk with Koa Trading, and a longtime volunteer with Wilcox Hospital Long Term Care.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sunao Nanbu; parents, Umajiro and Matsu Yukimura; sisters, Hisayo Akama and Chiyoko Kato.
She is survived by son, Dan Nanbu of Lihue; granddaughter, Daralynne (Micah) Reichman of Kapolei; grandson, Dayson Nanbu of Lihue and great-granddaughter, Arianna Reichman of Kapolei, sisters, Mitsue Kataoka of Kapaa and Kimie Ozaki of Honolulu along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 10 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m.
The family kindly asks that flowers be omitted.

Angeline ‘Angie’ Violet Gentile
Angeline “Angie” Violet Gentile of Lihue passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on April 10, 2016, at the age of 94. She was born in Michigan on April 14, 1921, and retired as a Secretary and Realtor.
Preceded in death by her husband, Peter Gentile and son, Don Gentile.
Angie is survived by her son, Ron (Corinne) Gentile.
A celebration of Angie’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion with services beginning at 9 a.m.

Kenneth ‘Buddy’ T. Perreira
Kenneth “Buddy” T. Perreira of Kalaheo, Hawaii, passed away on April 4, 2016, at the age of 88.
Born on Aug. 19, 1927, born in Kalaheo, Kauai he was employed with the County of Kauai.
Preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Sophie Perreira; wife, Claire Perreira and brother, Paul Perreira.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne (Scotty) Vidinha; son, Kenneth “Teddy” (Lynn) Perreira; sister, Ethel Vierra, Barbara (Lynwood) Boynton, Agnes “Aggie” Perreira; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Celebration of Life Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo visitation of 9 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
Dolores Campos
Dolores Campos of Waimea, passed away at the age of 90, on April 14, 2016, in Waimea. Born on Nov. 20, 1925, in Lahaina, Maui and was a cook at PMRF for the Navy Galley.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Prudencio Campos, Sr., and son, Mel Campos.
Dolores is survived by her sons, Ernest (Eleanor) of California, Prudencio, Jr.. (Evangeline) of Makakilo, and Ronnie of Waimea; daughter, Stella (Kelly) Shimatsu of Kalaheo; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Vicenta Olives of Waimea; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Eleele Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are being declined.

Editha Castaneda Pascual
Editha Castaneda Pascual of Lihue passed away in Hale Kapuna Heritage Home on April 16, 2016, at the age of 93. She was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Sept. 16, 1923, and retired as a barber with Fil-am Barber Shop and a teacher for many years in the Philippines.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carlos D. Pascual; daughter, Carolina Maghanoy and sister, Lily Castaneda.
Editha is survived by her son, Roberto “Bobby” (Harlean) Pascual; daughters, Elaine (Jon) Pingue, Melody Pascual, Jane Pascual; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services held.
