Kudos to Wolf Cub Scout Cheyne Carillo on his great service project of creating Blessing Bags for the Kauai Economic Opportunity emergency housing facility! And kudos, too, to all the parents and other Scouts who came to help him deliver the goodies. William Cooper (his bosses are Jason Honjiyo and Stephanie Fernandez) was scrambling for boxes, and Roxanne Thompson said she brings her stuff to the Ohana Christian Fellowship community events like the one they hosted on Easter Sunday.
They were waiting to see if Leona Perez was going to join them, too, but she was probably too busy with the Kauai Independent Food Bank’s Food Collection Day (Stephanie Shinno was scheduled to be there, helping).
Kudos to Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School video teacher and coach Kevin Matsunaga and all his students on the great showing at the Student Television Network convention in Atlanta, Georgia.
And if you’re reading this early enough, Val Rynda is checking out the Lawai Cannery garage sale benefiting the Relay for Life (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) along with Leah Scovel and Teri Kaniho.
