Robert Stanley Rita Sr.
Robert Stanley Rita Sr. of Kalaheo, passed away at the age of 76 on May 9, 2016 at his home in Kalaheo. Born on Nov. 24, 1939 in Koloa, he was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Helen Rita; and brother, Patrick Allen Rita.
Stanley is survived by his sons, Robert (Kathy) Rita Jr. of Honolulu and Michael (Kristi) Rita of Kalaheo; daughters, Corinna (Charles) Lopez of Kalaheo, and Darlene Rita of Kalaheo; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister Maryann McKee of Texas; sister-in-law, Roberta Rita of Kalaheo; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Mass begins at 11 a.m. and a Celebration of Stanley’s Life will be followed at Darryl Kaneshiro’s Omao Ranch on Koloa Road; one mile west from Koloa Town or one mile east from the Kaumuali’i Highway Lawai Intersection.
The family requests casual attire.

Geraldine Carrillo
Geraldine Carrillo passed away at the age of 62 on May 3, 2016 in Corona, California. She was born on July 21, 1953 in San Bernardino, California.
She is preceded in death by Tommy and Terry Carrillo.
She is survived by her Daughter Yvette Lopes, Brothers, Richard Carrillo & Joseph Carrillo, Sisters, Cecilia Valencia, Ruth Carrillo, Margie Carrillo & Jennie Rodriguez.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 4 p.m. at 3917 Indiana Ave, Corona, California.
Joseph Punilei Manini, Sr.
Joseph Punilei Manini, Sr., 85 of Waimea, Kauai passed on from this life on May 4, 2016. Joseph was born in Makaweli Valley, Kauai. Joseph retired from Gay & Robinson in 1994 after 47 years of service where he was a heavy machine operator.
During his lifetime he also ran successful small businesses including as a horse shoer, Hawaiian saddle maker, cesspool pumper, taro/watercress farmer, and rancher. Joseph was installed into the Paniolo Hall of Fame in 2005.
Joseph is preceded in death by wife, Beverly Ann Curtis Manini; son, Hokulani Luther Manini; father, Benjamin Pinehaka Punilei Manini, Sr.; mother, Gertrude Leimomi Mākuaʻole Robinson; sister, Agnes Leimomi Makanani; and brother, Benjamin Pinehaka Punilei Manini, Jr.
Joseph is survived by seven children, sons Joseph, Jr., Elwood, and Eben; daughters Yvonne Keoho, Erna Kamibayashi, Clorinda Manini-Fiso, and Bonnyjean Manini; sister, Laynette Bukoski; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kekaha Ward. Located at 4587 Amakihi Rd, Kekaha. Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Services: 11 a.m.

Tim Nester, Sr
Tim Nester, Sr., 61, passed away on Dec. 21, 2015. He was born in Lebanon, Oregon. He owned several businesses over his years on Kauai and was a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Emery and Mary Ann Nester, and his sister, Suzanne Ritchey. He is survived by his wife, Carol Nester, his son, Tim Nester, Jr., his Daughter, Sara Nester, and many other relatives.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel Lihue on Saturday, May 28 at 1 p.m.
Jocelyn Morretino
Jocelyn Morretino of Koloa born Nov. 18, 1971 passed April 26, 2016. Originally from Anaheim CA Jocelyn attended Rubidoux High School and Riverside Community College. Once on Kauai she worked at Shell Vacation Club where she sold time share.
Jocelyn is preceded in death by Margaret Morretino, Pamela Morretino and Tama Morretino.
Jocelyn is survived by her son Trenton Olson; husband Tyler Swails; father Sam Morretino; mother Valerie Straw; bothers Sammy Morretino, Kenny Morretino and Michael Morretino; sisters Allison Whitacre and Heather Strong; along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Poipu Beach Park on Friday June 3 at 11 a.m. I look forward to hearing back from you. Allison.
Aleta Robin Kalanikapu Fu
Aleta Robin Kalanikapu Fu of Kapaa, Kauai passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 20, 2016, at the age of 61. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on May 17, 1955, and was a Child Support Enforcement Officer with the State of Hawaii.
Preceded in death by her parents. Alec “Sonny” Blackstad and Agnes “Billie” Blackstad.
Aleta is survived by her husband, Edwin Fu Jr., daughter, Malia (Doug) Freitas; sons, Brian (Enjoli) Perreira and Byron (Ilima Matsusaka) Perreira; grandchildren, Brigg (Leina Palama) Perreira, Keanu Harris, Kawehi (Cory Carveiro) Harris, Zaiyen Matsusaka-Perreira, Zayna Matsusaka-Perreira, Zaylin Matsusaka-Perreira, Daelene Freitas, Alexis Baldwin, Charlie Baldwin, Brock Baldwin, Imi Corpus; great-grandchild, Cade Carveiro; brothers, Michael (Sharon) Blackstad, Ronald (Loretta) Blackstad, Leo (Sybil) Blackstad, Jack (Amy) Blackstad; sister, Alexa (Wayne) Samio; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins..

Clarence T. Nakashima
Clarence T. Nakashima of Hanapepe, passed away at the age of 81, on May 6, 2016. Born on June 8, 1934, in Eleele, he retired from the Military in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Y. Nakashima; and survived by his daughter, Janice (Doug) Smith; two grandchildren, Noa and Lila Smith; brothers, Mitsugi (Miki) Nakashima and Richard (Mutsu) Nakashima; and sister-in-laws, Joanne Nakashima, Margery Nakashima, Jane Nakashima; Helene Nakashima; and Sumie Ono.
Memorial Services will be held at the Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Services will begin at 2 p.m. and casual attire is suggested with flowers being omitted.
