Does cascaron and macaroon sound the same? The question kept the conversation between the St. Raphael Filipino Catholic Club and the Kauai Softball Club (they are NOT the Kauai High School softball team, they just have players who play for the Red Raiders) at a lively banter Saturday when Debbie Yanagihara coordinated 20 vendors at the St. Raphael Church craft fair.
Tina Brun said the church’s youth group was supposed to sell the food, but when they couldn’t, she called Penny Vess to step in with her girls.
Sarah Schroeder (she had a really good quote at the Fast & Furriest event about how her organic skincare products was safe for pets who like to lick you) brought her products to Koloa to show, and Jessica Clabo is really good about anticipating the wind and rushing to stabilize her cases of glass jewelry.
Sir William Armstrong had the right idea — bring along the Ovation cutaway for music while waiting on Annette Armstrong to finish off her Pukahoops table.
Debbie said she and her vendors are at the Kauai Veterans Center this Saturday from 8 a.m., and at the Church of the Pacific in Princeville next week.
