LIHUE — The 38th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk is scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday. The Kauai Police Department will close off the following streets from 6:45 a.m. until the completion of the walk: • Rice Street, from Eiwa Street
LIHUE — The 38th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk is scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday. The Kauai Police Department will close off the following streets from 6:45 a.m. until the completion of the walk:
• Rice Street, from Eiwa Street to Hoolako Street
• Hoolako Street, from Rice Street to the Kauai Police Department
• The right turn lane of Ahukini Road heading south onto Kapule Highway
• Umi Street (open to local traffic only)
Officers will be manning the road closures and traffic delays are expected. Motorists wishing to access the Vidinha Stadium parking lot may do so through the Kapule Highway entrance, across from Kauai Lagoons.
The roughly 3-mile course will begin at the Historic County Building, head down Rice Street, turn left onto Hoolako Street to Kaana Street, turn left on Kapule Highway to Ahukini Road, then left onto Umi Street, ending at the Historic County Building.
