Erick Moon
Erick T. S. Moon, 72, passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2016 into the loving arms of our heavenly Father. He was born in Wahiawa, Oahu on Oct. 3, 1943. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He and his wife moved to Kauai in 1996 where he came to work at the Kauai Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He then went into private practice and last retired with the State Public Defenders Office.
Erick is preceded in death by his father Duke Mann Moon; brother, Duke Moon; step-father, Joseph Han.
Erick is survived by his wife Donna; his children, Lynn (Jeff) McLaughlin of North Carolina, Reina Moon Correa of Mililani, Erick (Phyllis) Moon Jr. of Arizona, Courtney (DJ) Deguchi of Mililani; mother, Mary Han of Wahiawa; brother, Ronald T.Y. (Stella) Moon of Oahu; sister, Marylee (Rick) Baumann of Reno; 12 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his cat Cookie.
A celebration of his life will be held at Kapaa United Church of Christ at 1315 Ulu St., Kapaa on Saturday, June 18, 2016 with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Casual/Aloha Attire.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Moon family with arrangements.
Randall Kawada
Randall Kawada, born on September 1, 1959 passed away at the age of 56 on May 31, 2016 at Wilcox.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Kawada.
Randall is survived by his girlfriend, Debbie Lovett of Wailua; father, Masami Kawada of Wailua house lots; brothers, Clayton (Aurora) Kawada of Wailua, and Wilbert (Sun-u) Kawada of California; sister, Sachiko (Ichiro) Nakamoto of Japan; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Kapa’a First Hawaiian Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with services to start at 10:30 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Gaylord Holi
Gaylord Moanalii Holi, 63, of Papeek Tahiti & Hanapepe, Kauai passed away on May 23, 2016.
Services and burial were held in Arue, Tahiti. He was the owner of Paradise Tours.
He is survived by his wife and business associate, Lila, daughters, Tiare (William) Yazot & Johanna Holi.
Survived in Hawaii by brothers, Nolan, sisters, Wilma, Gwen, Belle Kaiwi, Mona Joy & Harrietta (Zachary) Helm, & aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
Preceded in death by parents Solomon & Olga Kali Holi & brother, Lorrin D.K Holi.
He was the grandfather of Tommy, Shaun, Mark, Naomey & Kinolei.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Port Allen Small Boat Harbor & Clubhouse. Service begins at 10 a.m. with paina to follow.
