Manuel Sanchez Jr.
Manuel Sanchez Jr. of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 6, 2016, at the age of 92. He was born in Lihue, Kauai, on Sept. 17, 1923, and retired as a supervisor with Kilohana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leilani Sanchez; father, Manuel Sanchez Sr., and mother, Bertha Gomez Sanchez.
Manny is survived by his children, Gerald Sanchez, Gordon (Healani) Sanchez, Rodney Sanchez, Doreen (Harold) Lewis and Robin (Charlotte) Sanchez, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; brothers, John Sanchez, Antone Sanchez, Alexander (Becky) Sanchez and William Sanchez; sisters, Rosa Fernandez and Barbara (Wallace) Isoda; caregiver Diane Boreliz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 9 a.m. Eulogy at 10:40 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Albert G. Moe
Albert G. Moe, formerly of Kalaheo, passed away at the age of 82 at the Sate Veterans Home in Hilo on June 6, 2016, following a long illness. Born in Shanghai, China, Al graduated from Andover Academy and UC Berkley and then embarked on a 29-year career in the U.S. Navy. He retired with the rank of Commander in 1980 and then pursued a career in consulting.
Al was preceded in death by his first wife, Charleen Moe, and parents, Albert and Margaret Moe. He is survived by his wife, Edie Moe of Omao, son, Albert W. Moe of Pahoe, daughter Cathryn Moe of Virginia, and sister, Barbara Moe of Seattle as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, where both of his parents are interred.
A memorial service will be held at Koloa Union Church on Saturday, June 25, at 11 a.m.
Aloha attire is suggested. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Koloa Union Church or the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Al’s memory, both entities to which he was extremely devoted.
Wesley Keawehawaii Hee
Wesley Keawehawaii Hee of Wailua Houselots passed away at Straub Clinic and Hospital on June 13, 2016, at the age of 35. He was born on Jan. 15, 1981, and was employed at Lihue Department of Water in Customer Service.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Hiram Milvet Kamakea Hee Sr. and Theodora Leimomi Hee; maternal grandfather, Andres Salvador; and aunty, Hiralene Johnson.
Wesley is survived by his father, Henry Keawehawaii (Grace) Hee, mother, Carmela Rosario; sister, Kehaulani Hee, Candace Toda; brothers, Bryson Toda, Soluwa Rosario, Jay Rosario, Micah Hee, Josef Hee, Jacob Hee, Zachary Hee; niece, Karsley Hee; nephews, Kahiau Hee, Kayden Rosario, Kobejay Rosario; aunties, KeeLan (David) Lambert, Lehua (Kalani) Cotner, Marie Salvador, Elsa Christian, Cindy (Kaipo) Kelekoma; uncles, Hiram (Amy) Hee Jr., Scott Johnson, Andres (Mila) Salvador Jr., Jonathan (Gloria) Salvador; numerous other aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 11 a.m. and services celebrated at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Richard George Turlington Sr.
Richard George Turlington Sr., 75, of Kapolei, the former Technical Director of PMRF, died in Kapolei on May 12.
He was born in Sebastian, Florida.
He is survived by wife Elizabeth, sons Richard Jr., Charles and Robert; daughter Alicia; brother Edwin; sisters Genice Dickerson and Gwenda DeBerry and four grandchildren.
A small private service was held on Oahu last month.
Helen Silva Obrero
Helen Silva Obrero of Puhi passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2016, at the age of 79. She was born in Hawaii on Feb. 4, 1937, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro Obrero; parents, Alfred and Trinda Silva and sister, Lauretta; brother, Thomas Silva.
Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Aloha Church with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Beatrice Ancheta
Beatrice Ancheta of Kealia, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on June 4, 2016. She was 95 years old.
Born on Jan. 31, 1921, in Lihue, Kauai, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents, Melchor and Balasa Alisna; husband, Felomeno Ancheta; daughter, Connie Olarti; sisters, Nieves Quiming, Theodora Banquel, Paulina Suan; and brothers, Alejandro Alesna, William Emproso and Manuel Emproso.
She is survived by sons, Fred Ancheta, Wailua; Ernest (Linda) Ancheta, Kapahi; Eddie (Amber) Ancheta, Kealia; Melvin (Ruth) Ancheta, Mililani; brother, Domingo (Lourdes) Alisna, Hanamaulu; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be Friday June 24, 2016, at Saint Catherine Catholic Church, Kapaa. Visitation at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., burial to follow at Saint Catherine’s Cemetery.
