Kauai’s dogs and their owners take up the fight against cancer starting at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Hokuala parking lot located off Ho‘olaulea Way.
This is the former parking area for the former Whaler’s Brewpub and Sharkey’s area and can be accessed by following Ho‘olaulea Way until Kahilipulu Way and following the signs.
The American Cancer Society Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s battle against cancer. It includes demonstrations, contests, and games.
Dog owners and people who don’t have dogs are welcome to join the fun.
Contests include best costume, bobbing for treats, best smile, fastest eater, best trick, best sit/stay, and the pet/owner lookalike.
