Kaye Serapio dropped 10 points to lead the Division 3 Kaulupono girls to a 35-12 win over the Rebel Ponies Monday night as the summer basketball games kicked off at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Serapio was the top scorer in the Division 3 girls opener, followed by Kiersten Gummerus with nine points. Anyia Cromartie and Braelyn Cayaban each netted six points in the win.
Jaley Medeiros led the Rebel’s effort with five points.
Moni Malafu and Michael Quenstin each found the net for seven points to lead Kapaa to a 26-14 victory over the Supersonics in the second outing, a Division 4 boys’ matchup.
Raindell Fernandez finished with a game-high eight points in the Supersonics’ effort.
Manson Broyles is back, finishing with a game-high 15 points to lead the Supersonics to a 29-14 win in the nightcap, a Division 3 boys’ game.
He was joined by Bryce Fernandez adding seven points.
Poki Tafea led the Kapaa effort with five points.
