PUHI – Police have confirmed two fatalities as a result of an apparent murder-suicide that occurred in Puhi Monday night.
Police were called to an apartment complex on Hanalima Street shortly after 10 p.m. after reports of multiple shots fired, according to a release from the Kauai Police Department.
Officers arrived to the scene to find a 45-year-old male and 42-year-old female dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
Detectives believe that male suspect shot and killed the female before killing himself.
Police have not yet released their identities.
The incident continues to be investigated by police. Updates will be given as more information is available.
